SWOT Analysis and Think BIG (Guide to Increasing Dealer ROI). This is our most popular podcast as of January 1, 2019. This was a great way to kick off the Your Car Dealer Podcast and although the audio was really raw, this episode packs a ton of great value! Mike Ramos from Your Car Dealer Bond LLC starts off the podcast with a real winner for used car dealers.

Episode 2:

 Increase Sales and Dealer ROI (80/20 & the Rule of 300). These are 2 super important sales concepts that will impact your sales ability immediately. Both owners and sales personnel appreciated this episode since increasing sales is always a topic of interest.

Episode 3:

 Is Your Car Dealer Business Struggling or Selling fewer Cars than in previous years (2018 Edition)? I really start to get my sea legs on this episode of the Your Car Dealer Podcast. We start to introduce interesting segments that have become staples in our content.

Episode 4:

Used Car Dealer Insurance (NEW Buyers Guide Info!). The Your Car Dealer Podcast episode #4 starts off discussing the upcoming laws that take effect in 2019 that require California used car dealer salespeople to be educated online. The online education that will be required will not be exhaustive and is positive in most cases. Although it may be a bit inconvenient, DMV licensed salespeople that are able to transact on behalf of the dealer should have to go through some type of training.

Episode 5:

Fighting those BIG Corporations as a Small Used Car Dealer. This one is actually important to me since my small, family-owned business has the same challenge. We are fighting huge, long-standing surety bond agencies with massive budgets in place. So trust me when I say that we are pulling for you and will share our best tips and tricks we’ve found to work even against the best in the business!

Episode 6:

 Tough love for Used Car Dealers (retailers, wholesalers, & auto brokers). Although this may come off the wrong way to some, that is never my intention. I (Mike Ramos) simply see the potential in people and situations and know that once we start expecting more out ourselves, we will start to deliver to our customers.

Episode 7:

Time Management and Segmentation (For Used Car Dealers)! This is another issue holding down used car dealers or baffling them into not being as productive with their time as they are capable of being.

Episode 8:

 Opportunity Costs and how they apply to Used Auto Dealers. Opportunity costs are important to understand if you are a used car dealer in 2018. Actually, every small business owner and even regular person needs to be mindful of how opportunity costs need to be calculated.

Episode 9:

Attention Used Car Dealers! Don’t just win on a Technicality. Mike Ramos gives a quick preview of The Dealer University, which is currently in development. This will be the one-stop shop of free, organized information that every used car dealer in America will be able to access.

Episode 10:

Bonus Rant about Formal College (rip off or money well spent in 2018).  In this video, I’m going to explore my thoughts on the value of a California college degree from my personal experience in corporate Silicon Valley. Season 2, Episode 1

was the start of a new thing to help my used car dealers get a flavor of something new. We introduced the Chas Dre (aka ChasDre), the owner of Mindset of a Champion to give you some more great nuggets of info! Season 2, Episode 2

was my second one with Chas Dre (aka ChasDre) that we titled it Invest into Yourself – Your Car Dealer Podcast. The sub-title was Operate with the Mindset of a Champion which might give you some insight as to what we are talking about!

We discuss steps to being more successful as a person and a small business owner. Even though we tend to be know-it-alls about our business, having an open spirit to learning in a valuable asset that serves you best when it’s used.

Mike Ramos and Chas Dre really dive deep into some really key things to keep in mind as opportunities come across your desk. There is a fine line between being easily distracted and being able to spot a great opportunity.

We talk about this concept and the idea of investing into yourself at all costs. I recently heard that the best investments are always made into yourself but now I believe it.

Season 2, Episode 3:

Mike Ramos from Your Car Dealer Bond welcomes Reggie Williams from RAW Consulting. This week we go into the details of optimizing ourselves a bit more and the effects that business has on our daily lives. We also discuss leadership and how it affects you whether you are a salesperson, sales manager, or the business owner.We start slow but we really lay out some great knowledge towards the end of this episode that will really hit home for every California Car Dealer, retail, wholesale, or auto broker!****

Season 2, Episode 4:

Mike Ramos from Your Car Dealer  Bond welcomes ChasDre from Mindset of a Champion. This week on the Your Car Dealer Podcast we discuss optimism and the need to stay positive. This is part 1 of 2 and it was the last podcast that we cut in 2018. Due to a time crunch we weren’t able to get it out but here is part 1 of a 2 part series.

We will drop part 2 in a few days so stay tuned! What Mike Ramos and ChasDre talk about here is optimism and trying to be optimistic about things in general. Keeping a positive outlook on things as the rough waves come in is always tough on small business owners. Used Car Dealers are no different and maybe feel it even more.

Think of it as looking at the bright side of things but 1 thing I would say is there’s also an issue with being overly optimistic about everything. As a used car dealer, it can be taking on too many different types of vehicles. Trying to be all things to all people.

Being overly optimistic can be just as much of a detriment as being too pessimistic.

This segment we are doing with ChasDre that we call the Mindset of a Champion is becoming increasingly popular. There are a lot of other podcasts out there to choose from so we appreciate you taking the time for the Your Car Dealer Podcast!
